Nestled along the Haw River, Bynum is a retired cotton mill village with a rich history dating back to 1872. Though the mill closed in 1983, the community's spirit remains as vibrant as ever.

The Bynum Music Series, launched in 2001, played a pivotal role in sustaining the beloved Bynum General Store, a cornerstone of our community since 1936. In 2006, neighbors united to form Bynum Front Porch, a non-profit dedicated to fostering family-friendly events and preserving our unique heritage.
